Blua includes services such as Cuida tu mente, Monitoriza tu salud, Evalúa tus síntomas and Fisio Digital, among many others. These digital platforms provide patients with guidance, assessment and follow-up across a range of health areas and have become hallmarks of Sanitas’ digital model of care.
Blua also incorporates additional features that are growing in popularity among users, including:
Derma Digital is a dermatology service integrated into the Mi Sanitas app. It enables users to take high-resolution photographs of their skin using any smartphone.
Together with a questionnaire about the skin concern, the images are sent to a team of general practitioners and dermatologists, who assess the lesion within a matter of hours, without the need for an in-person appointment.
Patients receive the appropriate medical guidance digitally, which may include treatment recommendations, a prescription or a priority appointment, among other options. The service has enabled the early detection of potentially malignant skin lesions, particularly melanoma.
In less than 24 hours and without the need for an appointment, a medical team reviews each case and processes the requested prescription renewal through a fully digital service. This streamlines the prescription renewal process, removing the need for an in-person consultation in many cases.
During 2025, Sanitas processed more than 100,000 Farma Refill requests.
In just a few minutes, customers can carry out a general health check and, where appropriate, discuss the results with a Sanitas healthcare professional. The service provides insights into hearing, skin health, cardiovascular health, diabetes, hypertension and emotional wellbeing, among other aspects of health. New this year is the Mi Salud Bucodental oral health assessment.
Healthy Cities forms part of the preventive health strategy available to policyholders. It can be accessed through the Mi Sanitas app. The programme encourages participants to walk at least 6,000 steps a day to improve their health. In return, Sanitas converts those steps into new green spaces by planting trees in cities across Spain, creating healthier environments that benefit local communities.
The Health Promotion Service (SPS) is supported by a highly qualified multidisciplinary team dedicated to providing a fast, personalised response to customers’ needs at every stage of life.
Through its health programmes, customers have direct access to healthcare professionals via a range of channels, including video consultations, chat and telephone support.
The service also includes the Voice Report functionality, which converts conversations with customers into structured clinical reports, improving the quality and traceability of clinical information.
Innovation in mental health
During 2025, new digital programmes focusing specifically on mental health were introduced. These Digital Psychology Programmes are designed to promote emotional wellbeing through a professional, accessible and personalised model of care.
Based on a holistic approach, the programmes combine:
From the outset, each customer is assigned a psychologist who provides personalised support throughout the programme. This is complemented by access to practical workshops that reinforce learning and help participants develop new skills. This approach enables participants to build effective psychological resources, enhancing their wellbeing and giving them greater confidence to deal with personal, family and professional challenges.
Programmes available
More than 107,000 customers have taken part in at least one digital health programme, reinforcing the offering as a high-value solution for comprehensive digital wellbeing.
We use digitalisation to make healthcare more agile, efficient and sustainable.

Reimbursements
Blua automates the process of submitting and paying reimbursement claims for healthcare expenses. During 2025, around 400 reimbursement claims were processed each day.
Online Check-in
Attending outpatient appointments, managing hospital admissions or completing patient discharge procedures has never been easier or more efficient.
Digital Informed Consent
All patient administrative procedures are now digital, making them simpler and more convenient through mobile devices.
Blua Sanitas Valdebebas Hospital
The first digitally native hospital in the Sanitas network is now a reality. One of the most advanced hospitals in Europe, it opened its doors in 2025 with digitalization and innovation at the core of its identity.
The hospital integrates artificial intelligence throughout every stage of the care pathway, while patients can access and manage their entire healthcare journey digitally through the MiSanitas app.
Blua Sanitas Valdebebas Hospital
As Sanitas’ fifth hospital and the home of its digital hospital, Blua Sanitas Valdebebas represents the evolution of the healthcare model through the integration of technology, operational efficiency, and environmental sustainability from the earliest stages of its design.
One of the hospital’s defining features is its fully electrified infrastructure, which eliminates the need for fossil fuels for both heating, cooling, and domestic hot water production. Combined with the use of 100% renewable electricity, this approach results in emissions that are significantly lower than the sector average—94% below those of the average Spanish hospital.
The building also incorporates lower-impact construction materials, including certified timber, natural insulation, and recycled components, while prioritizing high indoor air quality. Green spaces have been integrated throughout the hospital, including landscaped interiors and green roofs, with these environmental benefits extending beyond the site itself. In partnership with Madrid City Council, Sanitas has supported the creation of a new green area covering more than 32,000 m²—an area equivalent to the footprint of Blua Sanitas Valdebebas Hospital. The planting of native trees is expected to contribute to the absorption of approximately 1,548 tonnes of CO₂ per year while enhancing the surrounding environment.
The hospital also incorporates circular economy practices and solutions designed to reduce the environmental impact of healthcare operations, particularly in areas such as anaesthesia and radiology, where technologies have been implemented to optimize the use of resources including energy, water, helium, and gases with global warming potential.
Finally, the facility promotes sustainable mobility through features such as electric vehicle charging points and strengthens the digital delivery of healthcare through services including video consultations and remote patient monitoring, helping to reduce travel and the associated emissions.

Digitalisation is a key enabler of Sanitas Dental. The latest technological developments, including digitally designed high-aesthetic veneers, intraoral scanners and computer-guided dental implant surgery, enhance the customer experience and enable oral healthcare treatments that are more predictable, more precise and deliver better outcomes.
Intraoral scanner
A solution that benefits both patients and the environment. The device produces highly accurate and realistic digital images of the patient’s mouth. Its use also eliminates the need for materials and waste associated with the production of implants and prostheses, reducing the environmental impact of these processes, while also cutting the transport and shipping required between dental practices and dental laboratories.
Digitalisation empowers healthcare professionals to respond more quickly, accurately and effectively to the care needs of older people. Through Blua Senior, Sanitas’ care homes, day centres and home care services use the latest technologies to deliver the highest standards of care.
Alexa Smart properties for senior living
Using voice interaction, residents in Sanitas Mayores care homes can access their medical appointments and daily activities schedule, listen to music, enjoy cognitive stimulation games and communicate with their families. At the same time, care teams have access to relevant information on each resident’s personalised care plan, enabling more tailored, higher-quality care.
Vital signs carts
Equipped with technology that enables more continuous health monitoring and a faster clinical response. Results can also be shared with families through the Sanitas Mayores app, providing clear and timely updates.
Immersive room
An interactive space offering immersive sensory experiences, from virtual tours of cities to underwater exploration and the recreation of personal memories through digital technology. These experiences help enhance emotional wellbeing, stimulate cognitive abilities, and bring variety and motivation to residents’ daily routines.
Digital cognitive stimulation
A tool designed to support both people with neurological damage and users with or without cognitive impairment through personalised exercises that stimulate memory, language and other cognitive functions. It also promotes social interaction through group activities and incorporates therapies such as music therapy and robotic companion pets.
Tablets in residents’ rooms
These enable care professionals to record care information more promptly. In addition, voice-recorded observations are automatically documented and incorporated directly into the clinical record, strengthening continuity and traceability of care.
Blua Senior
Through personalised care delivered by a comprehensive network of physiotherapists, psychologists, speech and language therapists and other healthcare professionals, Blua Senior provides home care services ranging from chronic disease management to support with users’ daily activities.
Digital signature
Digital signature simplifies the administrative processes involved in admitting new residents. It also makes day-to-day care management easier for families, who can sign the necessary documents remotely without the need to travel.
New artificial intelligence applications are helping shape a healthcare model that can better anticipate people’s needs. These advances enable both clinicians and patients to make better-informed decisions with greater confidence and improved outcomes. By drawing on objective, data-driven insights, AI helps raise standards of excellence in healthcare delivery.
SanIA plays a key role in streamlining a wide range of everyday healthcare processes. It provides a fast, flexible, and efficient communication channel that is increasingly used for emergency triage, appointment management, digital consent, and appointment optimization.
Now deployed across all Sanitas business units, this intelligent virtual assistant offers users different ways to interact with the company. SanIA Connect is designed for those who prefer telephone support, while the chatbot—one of the most widely used channels—enables customers to manage many aspects of their relationship with Sanitas quickly and independently.
