Joint Commission in all our hospitals
In 2024, we have repeated as the only center in Spain that has managed to renew the accreditation of the Joint Commission International (JCI), the most prestigious hospital quality certificate in the world, for all our hospitals: Sanitas La Zarzuela, Sanitas La Moraleja and Sanitas Virgen del Mar in Madrid and Sanitas CIMA in Barcelona.

Individual awards
On an individual level, Dr. José Luis Zamorano, head of the Cardiology Service at the Hospital Universitario Sanitas La Zarzuela, has been recognized for the second consecutive year as the best cardiologist in Spain in the Merco – Observatorio de Salud Awards.
Forbes magazine has also chosen Drs. José Luis Zamorano and Enrique Rodríguez in their list of the best doctors in Spain.
Dr. Moncada, of the Hospital Universitario Sanitas La Zarzuela, has received the European Society for Sexual Medicine’s Career Achievement Award 2023.

Sanitas Dental Star Awards
Once again this year, we have presented our awards for innovation and clinical excellence to dentists, stomatologists and maxillofacial surgeons. With a total endowment of more than 40,000 euros for its different categories, these awards are open to the entire dental community in Spain and recognize clinical cases in which excellence has prevailed.
In its VII edition, the Sanitas Dental Star awards were marked by the very high level of the more than 60 works presented, from professionals from all over Spain, both Sanitas collaborators and from other groups and health centers.
Sanitas MIR and EIR Awards
The Sanitas MIR Award aims to promote young talent in the healthcare field. Since 1996, this award recognizes the Internal Medical Resident who has excelled the most during his or her specialized training. More than 200 hospitals with MIR accreditation have participated in this new edition of a unique competition in its field.
For the third consecutive year, the Sanitas EIR Award recognizes the work of the Internal Nurse Resident who has stood out the most during her specialized training.
