Anticipatory Medicine

Mi Salud Genómica

In 2024, we took our commitment to prevention a step further with the launch of Mi Salud Genómica, introducing advanced genetics into our healthcare offering. This pioneering preventive medicine programme sequences, interprets and analyses the human genome to detect potential genetically predisposed conditions —such as certain types of cancer or type 2 diabetes, among many others.

Personalised medicine

At Sanitas, we believe in medicine that adapts to each person’s individual characteristics and anticipates their needs. We rely on whole genome sequencing to study each patient’s genetic information and identify mutations or alterations in genes associated with current or future health risks.

Personalised care plan

Once the sequencing results are ready, a genetic counsellor explains the findings and refers the patient to the appropriate medical specialists. Based on these results, a personalised health plan is created for each patient. This plan includes recommendations for healthy lifestyle habits, such as nutrition and physical activity.
